Enjoy a slice of local pizza at the Trolley Stop Market.

There are plenty of delicious places to enjoy a slice of pizza in Memphis, but who knew that pizza delivery could save your life?

Everyday Jean Wilson would order the same order from Domino’s in Memphis: 2 diet cokes and a large thin crust pepperoni pizza. She was always the first order of the day. Then, as talk around the restaurant came that she hadn’t ordered for three days, her usual delivery woman, Susan Guy, got worried. Guy went to Wilson’s home to check on her, and found that she didn’t get a response at the door. Guy called 911 for fear that something had happened to Wilson, and luckily so. 82-year-old Wilson had fallen and couldn’t get up, and had been trapped in her house. She is going to be OK, thanks to her daily pizza delivery.

While we doubt that you order pizza daily to your luxury apartment at Metro 67, a slice of pizza is a culinary joy that many enjoy in Memphis. After reading this story, we’re sure that you’ll be thinking about a slice of an Italian pie. Try the pizza right down the road on Madison Avenue at the Trolley Stop Market. It’s a great place to enjoy local fare that’s not from a chain, but specifically a Memphis find. The pizza is served by JillBilly’s, and uses local ingredients. It’s a great way to enjoy local, organic food in the form of a delicious slice of pizza.
