Mud Island Park: Mississippi
River Museum
Mud Island River Park visitors have an exceptional summer season to look forward to, highlighted by the 18-gallery Mississippi River Museum and the one-of-a-kind Riverwalk model. There are more than 5,000 artifacts and two full-scale boat models. The museum chronicles 10,000 years of the history of Ole Man River.
The Riverwalk brings the mighty Mississippi River down to size with a ½-mile long scale model.
The park has a full season of special events as well, including returning events such as the aforementioned “Sleep Out on the Mississippi,” “Funday Sunday,” and Amphitheatre concerts.
Like all the exciting things to do in downtown Memphis, Metro67 is close. Mud Island Park is
definitely a regular stop this summer.
