Look–it’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! Actually, you’re both wrong; it’s Fast Planet. The ambient, electronic pop band based right here in Memphis is causing a stir in the local music scene with their chill sounds and mellow beats. The band’s four core members have been making music for more than a decade and has culminated into this current project.

Their most recent performance on June 29th at Hi-Tone, was a packed out sensation, and in case you missed you can catch on their Vimeo page. But, if you’d like to see them live instead on these interwebs, you can see them on September 8th at Hi-Tone for Rock for Love 6.

Fast Planet has also been working on their debut album, which will finally be released on July 31st (yes, later this month) via their Bandcamp account; you can pre-order it as we speak.
